Advamed

UX And UI Design
Overview
Medical devices are important. Simply put—doctors and scientists can't do their jobs without their tools. AdvaMed exists to advocate for the companies that produce and sell these tools.

As the largest medical device trade association in the world, AdvaMed wanted to create a digital experience that reflected their position as the authority in the medtech industry.

The Bones
AdvaMed is driven by its members. The structure of the new website uses a component-based approach that makes it easier for members to search for resources, stay up to date on happenings in the industry, and access their membership benefits.
Design thinking & Exploration

Design is best executed when it's based in an idea. AdvaMed wanted to position themselves as the "authoritative yet approachable" leader in medtech. The design process started with grounding this position in visual ideas through inspiration gathering, moodboards, and stylescapes.

The Final Product

In the end, after rounds of color and typeface exploration, the website came together to convey an AdvaMed that feels fresh, forward-facing, and welcoming. Many of the design decisions (such as the use of a new dot pattern) are a direct nod to AdvaMed's members—the driving force behind its success.
